I don't know about 9.0, but I would definitely recommend 8.6, the most stable operating system I've ever used. If I remember correctly, at 8.5 there was a huge difference over 8.1, but it needed the 8.6 fix and then.....life was good!

This is not an iMac question, but I am sure some of you may know the answer.

I have upgraded the OS on my PowerBase 180 and on my 6400 to 8.1. (My eMac of course, uses Panther).

My question is this... is it worth it to upgrade these older machines to OS 9.0?
Does anyone know what the major differences would be between the two?
If it is worth it, is the additional memory requirement?

Thanks in advance
