I am puzzled. I do not have the Macs mentioned in this discussion, but this
kind of question keeps coming up in these lists. And I'm wondering what
position I'll be in when I buy a new Mac some lucky day.

The flat panel iMac came with Classic installed by virtue of an OS 9 System
Folder, right or wrong? The same is true of any new Macintosh today.

So doesn't Apple provide a "Restore" set of media, CD or DVD, which will put
Classic back on the new machines?
