I erased my disk and reinstalled 10.3 on my flat panel 17" iMac. Now I have no classic. I don't have a OS 9 disk from this computer, but I do have older disks from my iMac SE DV 12 gb. Can I install OS 9 from there
Nope.
The iMac discs are machine-specific and won't work on your new iMac, sorry.
More bad news: if you didn't install the OS 9 *drivers* back when you reinstalled OS X (I don't know if they are installed by default, I believe they are not), then you'll have to install those first. Hopefully all that's involved is just loading the OS X CDs, skipping to the "custom install part" and installing JUST the OS 9 drivers (be careful that that's ALL you install), then installing the OS 9 you get from buying a retail copy of OS 9 for cheap from someone like [list sponsor] Smalldog.com or megamacs.com.
