iTMS files are 128kbit AAC files, which in my experience is equivalent to 192kbit LAME-encoded or 256kbit iTunes-encoded MP3 files in terms of quality (though the AAC files are smaller). From: "Larry le Mac" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Anyway, what bitrate are the songs downloaded as ?
AAC files sound really quite good to me, but of course some anal-retentive audiophile will rebut me on this, explaining that anything less AIFF (or possibly Apple Lossless Codec) is unlistenable garbage and I'm an idiot for thinking otherwise. They always do. :)
But here in the real world, most music short of the most critical audiophile recordings are perfectly acceptable to most people in 128kbit AAC.
