It costs NOTHING to sign up, and at the most it would cost you A BUCK to find out if the iTMS files are up to your standards. What are you so afraid of, for pity's sake?
Sign up, pick a tune, download it, listen (don't go by the free :30 samples -- many have reported that they are further compressed so that dialup users can listen).
If it doesn't meet your standards, you're out A WHOLE DOLLAR. Boo hoo hoo.
Sheesh.
PS. If the iTMS isn't good enough for you, no online music store will make you happy.
