1. The new iMac received a very positive review in today's Wall Street Journal.
Do yourself a favour and clip those articles to show to PC friends!!
2. A friend needs to buy a new computer and feels limited to a PC because his wife needs to use PC Anywhere to dial in to her office system. Is there a Mac equivalent to PC Anywhere? I know about GoToMyPC but that has to be adopted by the office doesn't it?
a. Hello, these two have different needs. Maybe they should get two computers.
b. There's no "direct" mac version of PCAnywhere, but there are TONS of VPN clients for the Mac which should work, including one built right into OS X.
c. The new machines can probably run Virtual PC 7 sufficiently well to make PCAnywhere worthwhile.
My primary recommendation would be a) give her a cheap win laptop and get a REAL computer for him. That way he can laugh when she gets a virus. :)
