Had a similar problem caused by a refrigerator on the same power 
circuit. The screen would roll up like a window shade every time the 
compressor kicked in.  Relocated the fridge and the problem cleared 
up.

Hi,
My iMac Rev. A is experiencing a random blink on its monitor. Kinda like an
electrical spike. The monitor will flash on and off very quickly. Does
anyone have any idea of which part is going? The PAV board, the powersupply,
down converter or what. I would like to get the part before it goes south to
be ready.
