I've had a 120GB 7200RPM Samsung SpinPoint in my 400MHz DV for 6 months or
so now and am very happy with it. No heat issues that I've encountered. Plus
it's nice and roomy obviously, *much* quieter than the ol' Fireball and a
little faster, I think.

I dithered about doing it for a couple of years, then took the plunge and it
was scarcely more difficult than adding an AirPort card or RAM. Physically
speaking, I mean. It took an entire evening with Carbon Copy Cloner copying
off to an external and then (overnight) back to the new internal, but the
actual screwdriver work took all of 15 minutes.
