From: JCT <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I recently installed a 4 ports USB HUB with a proper external 2.5A power supply (AC adapter) to my iMac top USB port (iMac 333, OS 9.1). Keyboard is on the bottom port.
From: "Larry le Mac" Is the keyboard plugged into the iMac or the hub ? Larry ___________ I wrote:I recently installed a 4 ports USB HUB ( snip ) to my iMac top USB port ( snip ).Keyboard is >on the bottom port.
Of course I meant the iMac bottom USB port. Sorry for my FrenchGlish...
And as I said, with this set up, the power on button from the keyboard is dead.

I've had similar issues vis-a-vis the top/bottom USB ports on my Rev. B iMac. The best explanation goes like this: The top port is a "master" port and has priority over the bottom port regarding voltage, signal strength, etc. My keyboard is plugged into the TOP port and my POWERED hub is plugged into the LEFT USB port on the keyboard.
