The previous weekly item included eight steps of basic computer hygiene to work through before attempting to install SP2. Of course, we practice most of these steps on our Macs anyway. But if anyone is interested, I'll forward the three weeklies. Note that I am in digest mode, so this could take a day or so. It's not strange though considering how Apple and everyone else bangs on about how simple and flawless the Mac OS is...
In Windows no such checks are required when updating (to the best of my knowledge/experience, though it's limited to W2K).
