Hi all I have an old iMac running on the 9.2.2 system and wanna be able to download music off the internet. Any suggestions of programs, places, etc. Cheers
Hopefully, most of the people on this list have some sense of ethics and will not help you steal copyrighted music. If you're talking about the iTunes Music Store and other great legal resources, I'm afraid that the iTMS is Mac OS X only. The other big paid services don't cater to Macs at all, to the best of my knowledge.
That said, there are TONS of legal MP3s out there, mostly from lesser-known bands who want to be heard. There used to be a place called MP3.com that had tons of this stuff, but sadly they changed their business model. I'm afraid I don't know of any large repositories of legal MP3s, but perhaps others on the list can help. In the meantime, my suggestion would be to join the 21st century and upgrade to OS X. It's glorious.
