Yes, I know it does. Read my quote again: I thought it made it pretty clear that AT THE TIME os x beckoned (ie when it was released), Eudora wasn't ready. That would be five years ago now.
Eudora's a great program for email; maybe not the king of the hill anymore, but perfect for many people.
When I first switched over to OS X a couple of years ago, the first OS X app I installed was Eudora. Granted, it isn't all flashy & "htmly" as Apple Mail, BUT it does the job the way I WANT, unlike Apple Mail that forces you to change to its "desires"
I don't want to get into a Mail v. Eudora war, because they're both great IMO, but I've been absolutely delighted with Mail since the first day I tried it and have never felt that it makes you "change" any more than ANY new email program would have you get used to its paradigm. If you don't like Mail's tri-window approach, that's fine, but I would hardly say it "forces" you to do ANYTHING. It's much more customisable than you might at first realise.
