This is actually a very good question, so I used my contacts to find out The Word from Apple.
Direct from the product manager: DO NOT put anything heavy on top of the Mac Mini. Doing so would probably damage the optical drive.
Hmmm... I was afraid of that since I've seen promotional photos of Mac Mini standing *beside* the AlDisplay.
However, do aluminum displays count as something heavy? How about stacking Mac minis on top of each other as on one of the photos?
