Direct from the product manager: DO NOT put anything heavy on top of
the Mac Mini. Doing so would probably damage the optical drive.

But it's ok to stack six more minis on top of one like on their design page? ;) <http://www.apple.com/macmini/design.html>

17inch G5: 18.5 pounds
6 minis: 17.4 pounds

There's no warning against stacking them ... whereas the iPod shuffle page
says, "Do not eat iPod shuffle" :)

Actually, that same design page warns thusly:

1. Mac mini stacked by professional Photoshop artist. Do not attempt to stack Mac mini at home. You can place Mac mini on other objects, but please do not stack anything on top of Mac mini. Mac mini thanks you.

It seems whomever is doing these pages has a sense of humor. They also warn:

"Keyboard, iPod mini, dock, hands, AirPort, Bluetooth and PC sold separately."

Hands? They had to include hands in the disclaimer? I guess they're going for the cute humor angle.
