I've had a number of mods in the back of my mind for a while, but the
only thing I've ever actually done is rather tame. I put a Rev A Bondi
into a 1u rack case and turned it into my primary file server at work. I
have an 8 gb boot drive, an 80 gb data drive, and a Sony CDRW for doing
backups or loading new software.

I have it connected to a KVM that I use with other servers in the same
closet. So I have a USB -> PS/2 Keyboard and mouse adaptor tucked into
the case, and the video is converted from RGB to VGA. So the back of the
1u case has standard PC ports.

You can see pics and a small write up here:
<http://www.mythtech.net/rackmac/> The only change I made since the write
up is I added the 80 gb data drive (in the write up I mentioned I was
thinking of going with dual 60 gb drives but had yet to install them back
then)
