What a coincidence! I took apart one of my imacs today to replace the battery and I used (carefully) the vacuum cleaner with the plastic crevice tool with no harm. I can totally empathize with you as I have six cats (yes I'm crazy and one is a kitten who is prone to these type of incidents and is klutzy).
