Hello,
sorry for writing to THIS one iMac specific list, but I noticed in some posts from iMac list subscribers that many of us have kids. Maybe we can share our experiences of what kind of software we use /recommend for children in different ages. What you do to make your computer safe? For example what you do secure your Dock? I have about 20 different icons in mine and everyday I see few disappearing :)

My son is 3 years old, he loves to play Armagetron - good game, Tuxracer and Super Tux - funny games, also he loves FrozenBubble. For painting he prefers TuxPaint - very cool painting app for kids, learning letters is fun with AlphaBaby. Of course, as every boy, he loves to travel across the Universe - so we run Celestia - wonderful application, which allows you to travel across our Solar System and our Galaxy. Very good graphics. All applications are OpenSource and non-violent, almost :)

Can you describe what you do to keep your little ones busy with your iMac?

regards

radek
