One question, why?

Tracks in file form are useful and highly portable.

To my mind, downloading music which has
all forms of copyrights attached;
from the internet is theft,
pure and simple.

Why bother?

Flame bait?

Some of us don't like the RIAA blackmail of paying $10+ just to get that one song we like. Many artists agree.

Downloading is legal, within licensing limits.

And, of course, it is NOT theft. It is, at most, copyright infringement if you violate the t&c of the track or the DMCA (or your local equiv).
