On my brand new 20" G5 iMac, running Tiger, I was attempting to transfer my addresses from Eudora to the Mac's address book. Something went wrong and now when I try to open the address book all I get is a spinning beach ball.

My wife's G4 has been having the same issue.

Eudora's address books are a plain text-based format, easily corrupted. Apple Mail's address book is XML. Both are easy enough to hack.

I'm curious as to the actual cause of all this... so...

If you (Terry and/and Jim) would like, I'll take a shot at hacking this together for you. Please email to me a stuffit or zip archive containing your Eudora nicknames file(s) and the broken Apple Mail address book plist.

Hi Dan
Terrific offer and I may take you up on it, but the primary problem right now is to get the address book to launch. Other than a spinning beach ball, I get nothing.
