Kathy,
There are no PCI slots in the iMac, so your only hope here is to look
for a USB to Ethernet adapter that is compatible with OS X. Or, get
an Airport Card with iMac adapter, or a USB wireless adapter that is
OS X compatible.

I'm looking for suggestions on finding a replacement card. I'm
google-ing (and froogle-ing) for '10/100Base-T ethernet card' - how
do I know if I'm getting one that's compatible and fits in the
iMac? And there must be a good link somewhere with installation
instructions?
