Will any slot load DVD work in an iMac? How about a SuperDrive? I've
got the Graphite DV SE 400 MHz. I'd like to be able to burn disks.

iMacs take standard laptop drives, not the full-size ones you see
advertised for $19.
However, there are plenty available, I recommend the xlr8yourmac.com
website to look at the compatibility reports, plus they also have
links to step by step instructions. Apple primarily uses Matshita/
Panasonic drives in their computers, my PowerBook has a CW-8122 combo
slot-loading drive. You can get the UJ-845 DVD-R for not too much
money these days, but remember that creating a DVD with a 400mhz G3
will take some time. If it's just for data it shouldn't be too bad,
but movies will take a day just to encode.
