Googling on the program name produces quite a few links to tech help websites where you'll find gbn283.exe listed as malware in the output from Windows scanning tools. My guess is that the program is running within Virtual PC, which is why you see nothing in the activity monitor or the terminal window (even if you do "ps -aux"?)
