Ok, my Bondi OS X boot issue is getting more interesting.

It appears to be something with the primary IDE bus (the one the hard
drive connects to). If I use an adaptor to connect the hard drive to the
CD's IDE connector, it works just fine.

If I then connect a different drive to the original hard drive's IDE
connector, Apple System Profiler reports the drive as being connected...
however, the Mac won't mount it.

So, you'd think it is a bad IDE bus right... except I pulled out another
Bondi iMac, swapped the drives to it, and the exact same thing happened.
Doesn't mount anything on the IDE 0, but works fine with IDE 1.

What are the odds of two different Bondi iMacs having the same failure at
the same time, when neither showed any signs of issues previously?!?

Has anyone heard of the IDE 0 bus dying on the Bondi iMacs (Rev A). Is
this possibly a common failure and I've just got rotten luck?
