<sorry for weird word modifications, this email kept getting rejected by mail.maclaunch.com, because of the email contents!>
as of last week or so, ive been receiving a lot of s_p_a_m emails. I usually don't get s_p_a_m, which i assume is because of comcast's server side s_p_a_m filtering. i guess the s_p_a_mmers are getting more intelligent, because the subjects of the emails are things like: Fwd: cartography seaside Re: smart belies and other things that dont have things like "free_v_i_a_g_r_a" in the subject. plus, they seem to have normal text when viewing the emails without html. for example, the "re: smart belies" one says the following when viewing with html off: "fear that it might displease him I could have held him round the neck and cried Being then in a pleasant frame of mind from which I infer that poisoning is not always I was so softened and forgiving going through the town that I had half a mind to nod" but when viewing with html on, its some advertisement for something. for another example, another email i just received has the subject: "Mayfield said the storm is expected to slow in the Gulf, possibly weakening to Category 3 as it continues to fluctuate in strength." with html off, it seems to be a news article on hurricane wilma, and with html on, its an image of some v_i_a_g_r_a ad. so i can see how the email would get by comcast's s_p_a_m filters. however, the thing that confuses me, is they all have To:"Samurray" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> in the source of the email. but my email is [EMAIL PROTECTED], not [EMAIL PROTECTED] and some of them even have variations like [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED] so why are these emails being sent to me if that is not my email address??? ryan -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ . -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
