No, no, NO! The battery is definitely due for a replace. A low battery
can give all sorts of problems - specifically boot problems - long
before the Mac starts forgetting time and date.
Replace it, and THEN if your problems persists, start thinking about
other causes.
The PRAM battery tests as 3.1 volts, so it should still be good (I've
seen them working all the way down to 1 volt).
