Comcast does not support Mac OS 8, but they don't tell you this until
after you have signed up. The web is full of pages that tell how to
set the tcp and get on ethernet, which is nicely built into the iMac,
but I can not get it to work at all.
Anyone have any suggestions? I will try to update the firmware and
then go to os 9, which I have the original cds for my powerbook, so
am unsure if it will work on the iMac, but if that doesn't work, I'll
go dsl, which is not as fast.
Help appreciated.
