Take a look at headgap.com. They have many solutions and great service.
One item has both Firewire & usb, and is set-up to boot up as well.

Some recent flakiness on my flat panel iMac has reminded me that is is
time to develop a better back up solution. I am looking for an
external Firewire HD under $150, but am a bit overwhelmed by the
results I get from searching the various websites. Can anyone
recommend any specific manufacturers, retailers, etc? I would
appreciate any other tips about making this an effective solution.
TIA
