I use dealmac.com as a source for current deals - you shouldn't have
to pay more than $50 for a new drive (if you don't mind doing
rebates). This week, Circuit City has a 160GB Western Digital drive
for $50 after 2 rebates. Staples.com has a Maxtor 200GB drive for
$40 with coupon code and one rebate. ( <http://tinyurl.com/bmszk> )
I used to have a favorite enclosure (Triumph Venus and another
Triumph with the same metal body but different faceplate) but they're
not available any more. I do recommend getting a combo firewire/USB
case for flexibility. I usually ended up paying around $40-45
shipped from pcmicrostore.com. (A dealmac search is here: <http://
tinyurl.com/nhkaq> - but doesn't have any recent applicable deals,
though the GMG Metal Gear Box is still $35. I don't know how it is.)
