Thank you.  I can see your point on designating VM to another external
HD or disk drive where it may get erased.  However, the one I am
talking about would be installed in the computer, and both HDs' would
run in parallel.  If I designated the same amount of V.M. to that
drive that the current HD has designated, than I do'nt see a problem,
but there always is that chance.  As my stuff is backed up and not
much of a problem to fix, and I do'nt have a lot of real important
stuff that can't be restored easily than I will try it.  Also, it's
not an expensive computer so I will try and experiment and see if it
makes a difference. I'll let everyone know how it works.  Thanks for
the link.
