No, you missed my point.  This has nothing to do with any sort of erasure.

My point is that OS X *does not out-page much under normal 
circumstances*.  IF your system is out-paging excessively then moving 
it to a different HD on the same bus certainly isn't going to buy you 
anything.  Your $ is better spent buying RAM.
