You could try booting the computer into Single User Mode (Hold down  
CMD + S after the startup chime). Once in, mount the hard drive (/ 
sbin/mount -uw /), then you have root access to the filesystem. You  
can use the 'rm' command to remove the folders that you want, but BE  
CAREFUL! Only delete what you need to. Deleting any OS X system files  
may damage the system and require a reinstall of the OS. Good luck!
