I couldn't get the main power plug detached from the eMac 2005...
Tried and tried using all the tools I could, but decided to scrap the
upgrade to a larger HD.
The eMac USB 2.0 wasn't as tough to get apart as this newer one,
though I must admit the screw arraignment is a dog to get right, but i
got it.
If I would have continued to try to detach the connector I would have
damaged it probably, and I don't know what I'd do if that happened.
FWIW, I wonder how much an Apple store would charge to perform the
upgrade? Anyone have an idea?
This eMac streams Hulu way better than all my Macs and is by far the
most powerful Mac I've ever owned. I just don't know if it's worth the
cost to pay for the upgrade through the Apple store at this point as
PPC support only has maybe a couple years or so at best.
I gave it to the kids for now and transferred their data by target
disk mode to the new eMac.

Anyone care to share any thoughts?

-Mike
