Move your itunes library folder aside, to the desktop or something.

Create a new smart folder, based on your iTunes folder, that finds just files
ending in .aac or .mp3 (or whatever filetype(s) you used for your iTunes
music).

Start iTunes, it should find no music, and open with an empty library.

Open the smart folder, select all, and drag and drop into the new iTunes
library. (making sure you have it set to copy the music into the iTunes
library.)

This requires enough space for two copies of your library, temporarily, so you
may need to use an external drive, but it beats feeding endless CD's into the
machine...

iTunes *always* stores the music in accessible files and they're even in a
rational layout (by album name), it's the iTunes library xml files and database
that you cannot recover. Your music is fine, it's just that iTunes doesnt' know
about it.
