Although a good way to conserve plastic, it's still using plastic to make it. I wouldn't risk damaging my iMacs just to use an EcoDisk. Maybe my iMac G4 with the horizontal Tray drive might work.... but I don't know. I put in a DVD Lightscribe Blu-ray drive by HP from best buy for $150 and it works like a charm.
