I couldn't when I clicked Preview from the Acrobat Reader print screen
(got a message saying Preview is not supported), but I took Dan's
advice and uninstalled the Adobe reader, then opened the PDF directly
in Preview and everything's fine. I'll just stick with Preview, then.
And the "minimal" network just means two computers and a wireless
router. The "direct-connected" bit means the printer is hooked up
directly to this machine and is not on the network (except as a shared
printer). Thanks all! Bill
