This doesn't have anything to do with the problem
at hand . . . but I had a customer recently who had over 25,000 messages in her
Outlook Express, some dating back 6 years. I think around 14,000 in her
Inbox. Her Inbox had gotten corrupted, so she lost all of it -- forced
housecleaning! She never had dumped her Deleted folder
either.

I've had that problem in Outlook 2000, the problem was I had
over 15,000
emails in my inbox. As soon as I deleted a few thousand
everything
worked fine.

Have you checked the IMail log file to see if he is connecting,
and
whether
there are any errors? Does his mail client show any
error
messages?
