Ron,

You could try stopping the services for index server (if you can figure out
which services are for index sever) before running setup.

SP4??

Dusty,

I'm not getting any options to not install the index server. I'm running
setup.exe from the standard Option Pack files, and it jumps right in and
right after warning me about losing the Gopher service, it tells me:

"The installation library for component indexsrv could not be
initialized."

with just an OK button, which stops everything.

How can I choose which components to install?

Ron
