I'm going to be running IMail for 5,000 to 6,000 students at the University that I
attend. We will be purchasing a new server and I wanted to get an idea of what type
of setup I'll probably need. I was counting on having dual Pentium II processors
(probably 400's). I haven't settled on anything else for the server yet. Each user
will be alotted 10MB maximum mailbox size. In addition, most (if not all) users will
be accessing via the web mail function.
It is essential that this system be responsive and available as close to 24/7 as
possible. We will be running mirrored drives (most likely in a RAID 1 configuration).
Suggestions??? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
