You should put NT and IMAIL on another box (after copying the IMAIL folder
over), then import the registry settings.  Put that machine in the others
place for a week and see if the problem re-occurs.  If your server is a
p-166 you could probably dig up a PC that could hold the load for a week to
test...

Another thought is Disk Fragmentation.  I know that seems lame, but if you
don't do it ever and the machine has been running for a long time (say a
year) you could have some serious fraggy goin' on.  I have seen an NT
machine do a "Lazarus" (come back from the dead) after a good defrag, so now
I am a believer.

Last thing a 166 is no Spring chicken... could it be memory failure or other
hardware failure?  My first suggestion would help determine that...
