We're in a quandary as to the name for our Imail Virtual Hosts. Should
they be mail.domain.com or domain.com? As far as I am aware the pro's
and cons are:
1. the DNS will only have a host of mail.domain.com, not domain.com, so
it would be 'proper' if Imail identified itself as mail.domain.com.
2. if we use mail.domain.com, then the users are by default created
@mail.domain.com instead of @domain.com. While the domain part of the
reply-to address can be over-ridden, it'd be preferred if the
administration was simpler and the user's reply-to address was
automatically created at the @domain.com domain.
Any comments appreciated,
Richard in Australia.
