We have been fighting an issue for several days now with IMail 5.05. It
runs fine for several hours and then the processor on the system goes to
100% and the SMTP service dies. The most bizarre thing about this problem
is that we ran on 5.05 for almost a week with out any issues and now we
can't run for more than 2 or 3 hours. I've investigated every possible
cause I can think of from spammers to hackers but can't find aby evidence of
abuse on the system. We made no configuration changes to the system either.
We've run 4.0x for a long time and like the product but this is killing us.
If anyone has had any similar experience or advice please feel free to
reply. The process that most often runs out of control and kills the
processor is the web messaging but some times SMTP just dies. The system
is a dual PII 300 with 512MB of RAM and a 54GB hardware RAID array. There
are currently around 40,000 mailboxes on the system. Any suggestions would
be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
