Look at your zone records here.  There is no secondary MX
record for the mails.  If for some reason the "mail" machine
is not available there is nothing telling a server to try a
second machine.  Other notes below.

Basically you do not really need two DNS servers to handle
this.  Having a secondary comes in handy if your primary goes
down.  But the secondary should be set up to xfer its records
from the primary.
