If you are running BIND you will have something like this
in your secondary named.boot file. Consult the documention
for more exact details.
secondary domain.com 10.0.0.1 db.zoneinfo
secondary 0.0.10.in-addr.arpa 10.0.0.1 db.inaddr
Where 10.0.0.1 is your primary DNS server.
The server will go out to the primary and retrieve the
records from the primary. Changes made on the primary
will reflect on the secondary when it reloads.
