Also with this in mind... if both SQL and IMAIL are on the same server will
SQL start up in time on startup for IMAIL to authenticate against the
database?

Interruption

Wow. This may cause us to re-evaluate our server selection
if this is not
                being addressed by IPSWITCH.

Does this fall under the realm of 'unsupported' or is it
something that
IPSWITCH is looking into? Unfortunately one of the strongest
qualities that
drew us to IMAIL was SQL support. Our implementation demands
user info to be
accessible by our web application. Is this an issue for IMAP
as well or does
it only affect POP (as our app will be using IMAP)?

Thanks for any further info on this matter.

SQL 7
                Interruption

We've been able to isolate a pretty serious
problem: the POP
                server hangs,
or more accurately, refuses to authenticate,
if the SQL 7
                service is
interuppted at all. Since the POP service
is still running,
                however,
there's no easy way to monitor this.

Ipswitch support tells me this is a known
issue with no know
                fix. Has
anyone else had this problem, and, if so, is
there a
                reasonable solution?
I'm thinking of writing a little email
client dll on hte
                server to try to
log on periodically, and if it fails,
restart the service -
                but I'm open for
                                other alternatives.

Thanks for any help or ideas,
