Have you looked at the IMAIL logs and tried to match the CFMAIL error with a
similar event in the IMAIL log? Perhaps the IMAIL logs will give you a
little more information as to why these mails are failing.
Also, what version of CF are you running? In your CFMAIL tag, you ARE using
server=x.x.x.x, and NOT server=mail.domain.com, right? Unpredictable results
using FQDN.
