Another thought I had was are you filtering by IP address at the IMAIL box?
Did you make sure you listed all IP's on the web server as local on the
IMAIL box? When you open a socket it is not predictable which IP you will
use as the source on a multi-homed machine, and so I figure it is at least
worth checking into...
