You can use the LDAP feature to serve up addresses to LDAP compliant client
software. We use Outlook Express 5 internally and we have set it up to
check addresses against the LDAP server in IMAIL. That way friendly names
can be used like "Bill, John, Harry, etc..." and the client software will
search for matches in the LDAP dB and allow you to select the desired
recipient if there is more than one match found. Hope that helps you there,
it sure does help me here.
