[IMail Forum] log question

I'm rewriting the Imalogger Imail log analyzer to work with Imail 5. One of
things I'm seeing on some RCPT lines is the word NOTIFY= followed by one or
more words like failure or delay. Is this NOTIFY coming from the remote
system? Is this a standard way of indicating delivery problems? Any info is
appreciated. The following is an example.

09:24 01:35 SMTPD(3D7D009A) [144.81.23.2] RCPT TO:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
NOTIFY=FAILURE,DELAY
