I plan to go Lyris too, as soon as 3.5 comes out, on FreeBSD.

One co-existence approach would be to have Imail "front end" for
Lyris. Imail would relay mail to Lyris, and Lyris would forward all mail
to Imail for delivery.

Why?

This includes Lyris' smtp traffic into Imail's log file, so you can do
consolidated traffic accounting on the "SMTP rdeliver/ldeliver" lines,
rather than running two logs, batches, accnting runs.

I plan to do this on 2 dedicated machines, I don't know whether Imail can
relay to its own ip address on a different port.
