Chuck,

I wonder if there is something in the SDSL or the route between the clients
and the server, that may be affecting the MTU. The symptoms do fit what I have
seen, all works well, then all of a sudden, they don't. I bet you find that
smaller data transfers are also taking longer. 

If you use a mail client on the IMail server, or Web Messaging (again on the
IMail computer) to sent an attachment (eventually, as big as you can!)
locally, does that work OK? This would all take place within IMail and the
local computer, so network would be out of the picture. If this works, then I
think, IMail is working OK.

Check the routers and such for their MTU settings.
